The Charter President Callie Moore's love of music is cherished in this celebration.

The Callie Moore Presidential Honorees for 2010 were Dr. Wm. Shaw, John MacDonald, Earl Wilson and Wm. Taylor. All of these distinguish gentlemen have served the Antelope Valley for over 20 years.

Our chapter salutes them as they have paved the way for many to follow!

Jabberwock History
In 1984 we had our first Miss Jabberwock   Soror Gwen Wyre, one of the participants in our first Miss Jabberwock, is now a member of the Chapter. This bi-annual program provides scholarships and/or US savings bonds to the winners.
COMMUNITY AWARDS/ RECOGNITION AND EVENTS

We have supported the 5-points thrust National programs and we have done some fun things.
We have won awards and been recognized from various companies and organizations: JC Penney, LA County Parks and Recreation, The Angel Tree Foundation. We have also received recognition and awards from our state representative, and from the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale throughout the 25 years of service in the community.

We participated in the Lancaster Christmas Parade three years in a row. In 1999 and 2000 we won third place ribbons in the automobiles/single category.

TRIPS
Las Vegas tours, theater events, plays during Black History Month, and network sitcom tapings.


SOCIAL ACTION
A local "Meet the Candidate Night", registered voters, sent representatives to participate in Delta Days in the LA/ County/City, California Delta Days at the Sacramento Capitol as well as the Delta Days at the Nations Capitol.

 
College Scholarships

Qualifying Seniors may apply for the Delta Scholarship by filling out an application, submitting grades, community service activities, extra curricular activities, and writing an essay on the given topic at the time of the application.  We are proud to announce, we require a 2.5 grade point average to keep the scholarship active while in attendance at college, we monitor and provide support for the young ladies we select. Over $25,000.00 in scholarships to 14 Antelope Valley girls has been given.



ACADEMICS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Woman of Achievement Recognition Program for women in the Antelope Valley.

*Sponsoring the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy and we have mentored and graduated over 150 girls from this program.

*Girls from the academy attend cultural events, learn etiquette skills, are provided tools to excel in science and math and are taught sisterhood and service skills.

*Two of the years our girls have attend the California Delta Days at the Capital.
